Join me at 100 Faculty on Teachable to complete a self-paced, online course (SPOC)
What's a SPOC?
A SPOC is a self-paced, online course. Some of you might be familiar with MOOCs which are a type of SPOC. During the pandemic, we saw a surge of learning opportunities through SPOCs. They're not an ideal fit for everyone, but the beauty of SPOCs is their flexibility. You can learn from anywhere at a time and pace that works for you. Finally, many SPOCs are very affordable, so they make learning more accessible to a wider range of folks.
What's Teachable?
Teachable is an online learning platform, also known as a learning management system, popular with folks who create SPOCs. I've chosen Teachable as my platform because I've taken a lot of courses on it as a learner. It's intuitive and easy to navigate. Pro-tip: Bookmark your SPOCs in Teachable as soon as you log-in for easy future access.
How long will I retain access to these SPOCs?
In theory, for as long as I'm here on this Earth. Should I ever decide to step away from this space, I'd give you a healthy, three months of notice before closing your access to the course.
What's your teaching style?
I like to meet my learners where they are. Where else would I meet them? You'll find that the tone of my courses is accessible, conversational, and relatable. I want to help you understand these concepts and to make the learning process enjoyable. My work combines evidence-based practices with my lived experience as a teacher and learner with ADHD.
What if I have other questions before I enroll?
Cool. I ask a lot of questions too. You can reach out to me via my CONTACT page.
Can I register a group to complete your course?
Absolutely. I've had a lot of groups take my courses. I offer a 10% discount for groups of 5 or more, so CONTACT me first to grab your coupon code. Then you can use that to register your learners. Or, if you prefer, you can send me their info and I can register them for you.

How to Learn and Succeed in Self-Paced, Online Courses (SPOCs)
Self-paced, online courses (SPOCs) are a great way to learn from home (or anywhere in the world) at the pace that works best for you. Since the onset of the pandemic, there are more online learning opportunities than ever before. That's the good news. The bad news? Self-paced, online courses are notorious for low completion rates. Learners sign up with the best of intentions. Without the structure of a schedule or on-site attendance, they often quickly forget about the course.
As a long-time online educator, I've not only designed many self-paced, online courses, I've also completed tons of them. Me, yes, me, a person with ADHD. In fact, it's the skills that I've been forced to develop from living with ADHD that have helped me design a system to successfully complete the types of courses that many never do.
In this Teachable course, I'm sharing my secrets with you...for FREE. I love self-paced, online courses, but too much of their value is lost to low completion rates. I want to help you to finish what you've started, to learn, and to succeed.
This course will benefit both learners who wish to finish more SPOCs and teachers and designers who are creating SPOCs for their learners. All are welcome.
